Annual Rituals & Cultural Affairs * (a)

As of Chinese descendants, the Kho Family Association has several rituals & cultural events that they practice annually.

In the start of Spring & during the mid of Autumn in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the Kho Family Association performs a kind of worship to their ancestors, these are called Chun Zhe (Spring Worship) & Chiu Zhe (Autumn Worship). These practices are done annually for the Kho descendants to remember their ancestors. The Youth League is encouraged to participate in these events.

Zhong Chiu Che (Mid-Autumn Mooncake Festival). Annually on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, where the moon is the most rounded, Chinese celebrate the coming of Autumn by eating moon-like cake. Some also get together to play a Chinese dice game.

Annual Christmas & New Year Party. Self-explanatory. This two events is practiced throughout the world.

Annual Outreach Program * (a)

As a part of social responsibility, the Kho Family Association traditionally sets an Annual Outreach Program where they look for deserving charity organizations to bequeath. On January 4, 2003, the Youth League took the initiative to spear-head the annual activity. Its beneficiary was the Missionaries of Charity in Del Pan, Manila, an orphanage run by Nuns of the same order where Mother Teresa has worked during her life time. [make link to news article]
